• Vinyl Liner Pools & Liner Replacement — Vinyl liner replacement takes two to four days and costs a fraction of replastering a gunite pool, which is the whole appeal of owning one. The catch in Central Texas is that there aren't many liner pools here, so the owners who have one spend a while on the phone finding somebody who still stocks bead track and knows what vermiculite is.
• Pool Remodeling & Renovation — Pool remodeling covers the jobs that change the pool rather than just refinish it: adding a spa with a spillover, cutting in a tanning ledge, filling a deep end, raising a bond beam for a waterfall, or expanding the shell to claim back some patio. We do a lot of them in Killeen, because Fort Cavazos moves families every two or three years and a lot of these pools carry four owners' worth of repairs that nobody was here long enough to do properly.
• Pool Resurfacing & Replastering — Pool resurfacing comes around sooner in Central Texas than the brochures suggest, because our water comes out of the Edwards and Trinity aquifers loaded with calcium, which is excellent for your bones and hard on your plaster. You notice the failure by feel before you see it: the floor stops being smooth and starts being abrasive, and somebody climbs out of the shallow end with a scraped toe.
• Waterline Tile & Coping — Waterline tile takes an unfair share of the abuse in a pool: a six-inch strip carrying sunscreen, body oil, hard-water calcium, relentless UV and a freeze most Januaries. It's also the first thing anybody looks at, which is why a pool with a fresh tile band and average plaster reads better than the reverse, and why this is one of the highest-return jobs on the whole site.
